Tip #1 Keep the battery charged!
Battery maintenance is crucial. Most 12v Ride on Cars and 24v Ride on Cars have specialized batteries that have an operating life or 3 years. But it can be a lot longer if looked after correctly. We recommend batteries be kept ‘topped up’ or recharged monthly, even if not in use.
Tip #2 Keep your toy car clean!
It might sound silly, but a dirty car will attract vermin, pests and other nasties. The #1 issue repaired by our Ride on Car Repairs team is issues with electrical due to mouse or rat urine and cables getting eaten. Keep the car in a nice clean spot and ensure all food waste is removed, and any nets or dirt buildup are removed. A car cover is also a great option.
Tip #3 Test and inspect your electric toy regularly!
It’s hard to tell if everything is working perfectly with no issue with a keen little driver at the wheel. So, take the time to flip the ride on car over, check all the motors, check the remote, check all the buttons. Inspect the wiring and battery and signs of corrosion. Check the frame for signs of rust and make sure all the nuts and bolts are tight.
